Look number three. Just a quick note, one of the photographs that I couldn't find on the museum's website was the showcase of antique books, so I found this one on Google and it's courtesy of fromoldbooks.org. Anyways, I'm a huge sucker for books in general. In fact, my college essay (keep in mind that this is when I wanted to major in journalism/ English) was about how when I was in elementary school, my dad would tuck me into bed and turn out the lights every night. Little did he know, I had a flashlight hidden under my pillow along with a book, and I would read until I would fall asleep. This continued until high school when I realized I didn't have a bed time and it partly took out the fun of reading so late at night but my passion for books remained as strong as ever. Since Patrick is studying architecture and will design our dream house one day, I tell him I only require two things: a huge walk-in closet and a room to serve as a personal study/ library. I can't imagine a more inspiring room than one completely filled with beautiful books.
Patrick and I headed to our school, Tidewater Community College, to take these pictures today. Originally, I wanted to take the pictures in the library because it's open on Sundays for a few hours and no one is ever there. Since it's Martin Luther King Day tomorrow, the school was closed for the weekend, as well as tomorrow (no class!) so we had to take the pictures outside. No complaints though, because it was BEAUTIFUL and felt like a spring day! I was even a little hot in the blazer. It must be a warm front because of the rain.. it was POURING earlier in the morning!
We then decided to set the self-timer and take some cutesy pictures! :)
After we took our photos, I showed Patrick the house I grew up in. I hadn't been there since we moved out, and it almost brought tears to my eyes. A few things were different, but it was mostly the same. So many memories! I really, really need to visit my old neighbors. My dad had custody of me and took really great care of me, but having amazing neighbors really helped. They practically helped raise me.

On another note, this morning I had my first blogger meet-up with Emily from The Daily Fashionista! First of all, let me just say that Emily is so completely gorgeous inside and out! She was wearing an adorable outfit of course (I hope you took pictures of it Emily! Wish I had brought my camera!) and just has the most glowing smile ever! We sipped lattes and hung out for about two hours, which completely flew by. If you haven't visited Emily's blog, please do so! She has amazing style and her blog is one that I look forward to reading everyday because of her witty and fun posts!
