You are the Rake

December 16, 2009

Ok, so yesterday I said that I was going to post the outfit that was inspired by the Miss Dior Cherie commercial.. clearly that never happened. I ended up running a bunch of errands with a friend and my boyfriend decided to play open mike night at Starbucks so a bunch of friends went up to see him play. By the time I got home, I was exhausted! But here is the outfit. It turned out a little more granny than romantic and whimsical, but hey, I'm cool with that.

Hopefully tomorrow I will post pictures of that Chanel suit I found at the thrift store. I don't know what to do with it. Keep it? Consign it? Etsy shop? Ebay? I have no idea how much it's even worth! I've seen them on the web from $150 to $2000! I'm gonna need some advice. But more on that later!

Can you guys believe we only have 9 days until Christmas?? I only have the supplies I need for my boyfriend's gift (we are doing strictly homemade this year) and nothing else for anyone yet! But oddly enough, I'm not stressed out. I've been good with my money though.. I think. I went thrifting today and yesterday and only ended up with one skirt. It's so hard for me to buy stuff for myself this time of year. Are you guys the same way?

PS- Random side note.. "You are the Rake" by Sufjan Stevens=amazing

  1. I think the Dior Cherie song is "Moi, Je Joue" by Brigitte Bardot? But I could be wrong.
YES, I feel so guilty if I spend money on myself anywhere between December 1 and 24. I don't count thrifting, though, since I either make people's presents or buy them brand new.
And, while I'm rambling, I like your outfit quite a bit :)
